Hello, hello, hello, my gorgeous listeners. I'm so happy that you're here today. Welcome to self worth with Jaclyn Steele. Today, this is episode 121. Can you believe it? I've created 121 episodes. And today's topic is how to show up as your best self, I really want to launch right into the content today. I know everybody's busy. Before I do, though, for any of you that are new to the podcast, the name was self discovery, it is now self worth, same podcast, same person, just more elevated and specific subject matter. Alright. So today, I want to get behind the mic, I'm already behind the mic, and chat with you about showing up as our best selves on the daily, the month of June has been all about self expression. And to me, self expression is all about how we show up in the world. So how do we show up as our absolute best selves on the daily. I like the idea of this, because I think so often, we wait or we think we can only show up as our best selves when you know, we are the right weight, or we've gotten the perfect amount of sleep, or we've eaten perfectly or whatever. But I want to talk about how we can do this regularly and even daily. And warning it will be a little different for each of us as we are all individuals. However, as I've been reflecting on this subject, I do believe that there is a baseline for showing up boldly every day. And these things that I'm about to share with you are the ways in which I think you can do just that. And really, this is simple work you guys showing up. And owning our worth on the daily isn't about doing doing doing. It's about awareness. It's about creating moments, daily and weekly, that fill you up and make you feel grounded. So you can go out into the world on offense instead of defense. Does that make sense? So last week, I chatted on a water bottle metaphor, just dropped it into the episode real quick. It's very basic. If you are a water bottle, and your energy is the level of water inside, where are you at? Are you full, empty, somewhere in between. My challenge to you is to challenge yourself to operate out of a full tank every day. I had a coach that brought this idea up to me last year. And it was like my mind was blown thinking about how I could show up fully with a full tank every single day. And doing this does not have to be hard. Again, it just requires awareness and then taking action on that awareness. So action and awareness. Those are the key ingredients. Let me explain. When do you feel your best? Is it after you meditate? When you spend time with a good friend after a nourishing meal after a deep journaling session after our workout after dancing. What else makes you feel amazing? Not just like, oh, okay, I'm back at you know, a level one. What takes you up to level 10? Is it a walk in nature, coconut water, that first sip of coffee in the morning. I know for me, that's a really important one. Lighting a beautiful candle and smelling its fragrance taking a few minutes to pull oracle cards. Doing something adventurous does not have to be anything huge or expensive, although maybe it is. But the idea is to treat yourself and allow yourself to be treated well every single day. And by treating yourself I mean, you don't need it to be dependent on anybody else can be something that you do for yourself on the daily that lifts you up and fills you up. Make a list of things that fill you up and make you feel grounded. And literally write out this list so that you can reference it. Here's my list that I did just stream of consciousness style of things that fill me up and make me feel grounded. Slow mornings, can you relate coffee just the way I like it, I have a very specific recipe that I use. And I like it that way every single day, no deviations, ample time to meditate and write my affirmations and read. Starting off my morning slow, sets the tone for my day. And I cherish this time working out spending at least 20 minutes several times a week or every day to work my beautiful body and get the endorphins going. Eating beautifully cooking a meal without rushing oh my gosh, I feel like I'm rushing all the time. Even just this morning, as I was getting my son ready for the day and getting myself ready for the day and cooking breakfast and feeding my dogs and letting them out and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I kept reminding myself, why are you rushing? Why are you putting so much pressure on yourself to finish this quickly? Just be in the moment. I mentioned this in last week's episode about joy. music, I love matching music to my mood. It makes such a difference. And if you're in a low vibrational mood music is such a great way to lift you out of that. pampering myself. This is something that being pregnant taught me. I really never used to pamper myself because I didn't feel worthy of it. But on this self worth journey that I've been walking, I've learned that pampering myself is a way to recognize my worth and pour into that. And when I was pregnant, because my body was so achy, and going through so many different transformations on the daily, getting massages and getting facials and going to the chiropractor, all of those things made such a huge difference and made my pregnancy so much easier. And so now that I'm postpartum I continue to do those respectful body treatments, things that I can do that are an hour, maybe two hours, that really allow me to take care of the vessel that I'm walking in every day therapy, scheduling sessions with my favorite confidant whenever I feel like I need to tune up or when something is feeling off or heavy. You know, guys we carry we carry so much. We have so much stimulation in the world that we live in with TVs and phones and social media and people and the just the state of the world. It's wild and I think we carry so much and we wait to offload that because we feel like it's our responsibility to sort through it and file it and put it in a neat system. But what I've found is I'm starting to feel heavy or stagnant. Scheduling a session with my favorite guru banya. It is such a wonderful way for me to reset and feel like I got a chiropractic adjustment for my soul. Another thing I love is tea. So simple, inexpensive. I love having a cup of tea while I'm doing tasks. It makes them feel a little more enjoyable and relaxed and elevated. I also love, love, love creating and my soul needs to create. My desire to create shows up in music and interior design and writing and recipes and starting businesses. I'm very much an entrepreneur at heart and I need this to feel fully expressed. I also love skincare, and I love my skincare ritual. I love taking great care of my skin. So taking time to love on my body Are you and moisturize it and cleanse it and do some guasha or massage, or whatever to honor this vessel that I'm in. It makes me feel so good and filled up. Traveling. Traveling is really, really important to me. I write every morning in my goals journal, it's really a dream and goals journal, but I write I am a world traveler, every single morning. And I have been so fortunate to be able to travel so much, but there's still so much that I want to go and do and see. It's so important to me, because it expands my mind. It shakes up my routine, it makes me feel present, it makes me feel alive. It makes me feel curious. It makes me feel inspired. As you will notice some of the things on the list I just shared with you, I can do daily, I can do multiple times a day like drinking tea. Some require a little prep work, like taking a trip. Again, this is all about creating awareness around what fills you up, and how you can continually be pouring energy back into your tank every day. So when you plan your week, do you make space for these energy giving activities that you love? Or are they in there right now is a nice to have, I challenge you to move them to the top of your priority list. And just see what happens. When you prioritize your own energy and your own pleasure. All the other things you have to do during the week become easier and lighter and more flowy because you'll have more energy and having more energy will shift your frequency and your perspective on pretty much everything you pour into others. And now my friend, it's time to pour in to yourself. What can you start with today? And remember, this process isn't about perfection. It's about honoring your life and making space for the highest version of yourself to express and emerge. My friends, let's live with full tanks so we can show up as our best selves daily. If we do this, not only will our lives change, but the fabric of our communities will and the world at large will change as well.
