Jaclyn Steele:

Hello beautiful listeners. Hi, I'm so happy to be with you here today. I'm feeling calm, which has been a feeling that I haven't experienced a lot over the last five ish, six ish months, we've had a lot going on, which I'm going to talk a little bit more about in next week's episode. But I took some time this morning, even though I felt behind to journal, and read and take a long walk and meditate. It was fantastic. And it's days like today, when I feel like I'm rushed and behind right out of the gate, that taking that time makes all the difference in the world, because it fills me back up. And then I'm allowed to pour into you and pour into my own life from a full cup, rather than running on empty. So my husband, my wonderful husband, Sam, had to take a last minute trip to Mississippi to see a potential 50 pad trailer park that we may purchase. For those of you that don't know, my husband and I are real estate investors, we're about to launch a podcast called capital valet all about real estate investing. And were excited about this trailer park, right. But in the meantime, that means I'm single momming it and for all of you single moms listening, you are the Wonder Women of our world. Seriously, I want to take my hat off to you and tell you how incredible, incredible you are for taking care of your children and still doing all of the other things that are required of you on a daily basis. And still, like brushing your hair, putting on the class or mascara. Being a mom is the most rewarding job I've ever had. But it is also exhausting. You're on 24/7 You know, I find that I wake up in the night thinking my son is crying only to realize it's in my mind. And I'm sure many of you mamas can relate. I'm working on every day working on relaxing my nervous system. So this kind of stuff doesn't continue to happen. I'm not on high alert all the time. But yeah, being a mom is the most incredible experience on Earth. And it's tiring. It's a lot. But that's not what today's episode is about. Today's episode is about magnifying your frequency with ruthless attention on these four things that I'm going to share with you. Plus, Terry Rosberg is on the show today. And she's going to talk about how she changed her entire life. Before we launch into all of this, I want to invite you to my sacred rebel affirmation text message list. You can text me at 480-531-6858. And I will send you beautiful, heartfelt text messages a couple of times a week, that are meant to elevate and uplift your day and expand your self worth. I call them sacred rebel affirmations because they're going to help us change the way we think change the way we view the world. Change the way we view ourselves change the way we think about life. So if you want to be part of this, text me at 480-531-6858 Once you opt in, type the word sacred as a C R Ed. And you'll automatically be part of my list. I assure you it is me on the other end. I have conversations with many of you via text. So yeah, if you want to be a part of that, please join. Also, if you haven't signed up for my newsletter, the scoop, please do. I'm going to revamp it for next year. I'm sharing discounts on amazing high vibe products just for my community. I'm sharing inspiration, sharing books, I'm sharing meditations basically all the things that are elevating my life during that month. It's going to be a monthly newsletter not weekly, so not going to spam your inbox and anytime. Then last thing, please leave a review for this podcast if you haven't already makes a huge difference. I read every single one of them. They mean the world to me. I know they've mean a lot to Terry, my podcast editor and they help with the algorithm and being seen and heard by more people. So if you leave a review, the likelihood that this podcast is then shared and seen by more people is very high. So please do so I would appreciate it immensely. So let's talk about today's topic. I came on to chat on how limiting your exposure to several things and being ruthless about how you pay attention to these things will help you expand past your upper limits. And I'm going to introduce you to my podcast editor and former client, Terry Rosberg, she has done some serious transforming over the last year Hello, she lost over 130 pounds. And she's changed in pretty much every area of her life. And she wanted to come on the podcast to say that if she can do it, you can too. And I believe her when she says that, and I think you will, too. She's so honest, she's so raw. She's so real. She has inspired me with her grit and commitment and discipline. And after I share a little bit, she's going to come on the episode and share her inspirational story of how she has been expanding past her upper limits over the last year and a half. So go, Terry, I'm so proud of you. But before I bring her on, I want to chat with you about expanding past your upper limits. That's the theme this month. This is the last episode of the month. So we're gonna wrap things up. And I hope that this will give you some juice as we enter the holiday season. Well, I guess we're past Thanksgiving. But as we enter Christmas in the new year, and you start making resolutions, so far this month, we've chatted about laying the foundation, in Episode 135, for expanding past your upper limits, and the things that must be in place if you want to grow quickly. Then we spoke about mindset and how integral it is to expansion and episode 136. And then in Episode 137, we spoke with Michael Anders about summiting Kilimanjaro and how it was so much more mental than it was physical. And then in Episode 138, we talked about changing the way we think and how that leads to personal success pretty much faster than anything else. And today, we're going to talk about energy, and four specific areas of energy that will help you expand past your upper limits. These are all simple things guys, with these are things that if we don't pay attention to them, they will sabotage our growth and they will sabotage our expansion. So number one, you are who you hang with. You've heard it before. I've said it before on this podcast. But who you allow in your life and who you spend a lot of time with matters a lot. Like way more than you even think or recognize. I want to challenge you to be ruthless with this. Ruthless, I cannot tell you how many people I have let into my life that have sucked the life out of me. I've allowed it over and over to the point where I didn't have any energy left for the projects that I felt passionate about. Does not okay. And the kicker is nine times out of 10. those very people would not show up one inch for me for every mile I gave them. I know you guys can relate to this. I know it. Now, I believe in always being kind and being generous. However, when people show you who they are, believe them. It's like the saying when you're hiring employees, hire slow and fire fast. The same goes with relationships in your life, make friends slow and let them go fast if need be. I know that sounds harsh, and I'm not a very harsh person. But if we are living with high self worth, and working toward embodying all we came here in this lifetime to be low resonance energy has no place in our lives. It just doesn't. And a great litmus test is paying attention to how you feel after being around someone. Do you feel lit up or let down? act accordingly. Number two, this is really important. You metabolize what you take in and want you to think about this. The books you read the TV programs, you watch the podcasts you listen to the music you listen to all of these mediums have an effect on our lives. They affect the way we think the way we act the way we Feel the way we show up? Have you ever noticed that people who watch a lot of shows about murder, or listened to a lot of murder podcasts tend to live in more fear? I wonder why. Have you ever noticed how people who are really interested in books about self development and finance and expanding past their upper limits, often make more money and seem to have more peace and joy and excitement in their lives? Have you ever observed how watching the news makes people act irrationally and out of fear? Because the media is telling them a one sided story meant to make them feel terror? Look, friends, we cannot control the outside world. But we can control what we are feeding our minds on a daily basis. It's just like food, put good in, get good out, read well, listen, well take in healthy, life affirming things. This will radically shift your energy for the better. Number three, you must I must, we must limit distraction. If you want to expand past your upper limits, you have to limit distraction. We have to use our time wisely. We have to have good boundaries with people, with our cell phones, with social media with our bedtimes and when we wake up, all these little things add up to huge things huge. So that 15 minutes scrolling may not seem like a big deal. But is it the best use of your time? And? And is it contributing to your peace of mind? Or is it taking away from it? We have to be aware of distractions, and we have to be aware of what we live in and what we put out. Number four, lift your frequency, your energy, your chi, your lifeforce, every single day when you are lit up from within. I know this sounds so far fetched. But I've experienced it over and over and over. You are unstoppable. So ask yourself, What's it going to take for you to get lit up? Is it a coffee and journaling? Is it movement? Is it having a meditation on a P EMF mat? Is it all these things? Is it making time for joy and relaxation? Is it time spent with friends your frequency, your energy, that level in which you operate is everything. When you are in a high frequency state. I spoke on frequency the entire month of September, you will attract high frequency opportunities, friendships life. If you are in a low frequency state, we tend to attract things that are low frequency. We have to manage our energy ourselves. No one will do it for us. Only we can manage our energy. And I cannot tell you how important this lesson is. I went to an amazing conference last week with some of the most motivational women in the world literally in the world. Jamie Kern Lima being one of them. She sold her company it cosmetics to L'Oreal for $1.4 billion dollars. And her story is so incredible. She talks about it in her book, believe it I highly recommend it. And her seminar last week was in credible, truly. But guess what? The information I learned from it is up to me to implement. She can't do it for me. And that jolt of motivation I felt when listening to her is so valuable. But it's not everything. It's going to fade. It's the little habits that we put into practice every single day that make all the difference. The biggest life changes are made from seemingly small and ordinary decisions, like paying attention to who we hang out with the kinds of things we let into our minds, the amount of distractions, we allow the management of our own energy. No matter where you are at or what your life circumstances are. I promise that if you start paying attention to your energy and start taking steps to manage it, well. It will change your life. You will see people fall away and people that are vibrating at your frequency come in. You will see new life affirming habits form. You will even notice that you start thinking different li it's magic. And it's free. And it's available to you every day. I love you all. All right friends, I am joined today by a special guest. Her name is Terry Ross fork. She is my podcast editor. We've been working together now for a year over a year doing the podcast but before that we were friends on Instagram and then we did some coaching but I don't want to reveal too much. So Terry, welcome to self worth. Thank you for being here.

Unknown:

Thank you for having me.

Jaclyn Steele:

I'm so happy that you're here. Okay, so my first question for you is why did you reach out to me to come on the podcast

Unknown:

Well, because I've changed so much in the last year and a half in this podcast is a big part of that. Because I listened to the podcast long before I started editing. Because that took a while for you to get hired me, you know?

Jaclyn Steele:

Terry, one of the things I love about you so much is your sense of humor. It did take me a while to hire you. And I fully own that you reminded me many times, hey, if you need an assistant, I'm here. And yes, but I'm so glad I hired you because you do a

Unknown:

fantastic job. Thank you. And I like it. It's fun. Yeah, no, that's, that's one of the main reasons I want to get her also, people have been asking me so much like what I did to change over this past year and a half. And I thought maybe if I was on a podcast or something, it would be a good way to tell a bunch of people and inspire people to that they can change to,

Jaclyn Steele:

oh, I'm gonna start crying already. And we're like, one minute in that's so I know. Well, and this is so perfect, because you reached out to me, at the perfect time to come on the podcast, because this month in November, it's expanding past upper limits. So like you said, you've done some serious expanding? Yes, you've grown in all these ways. But I feel like the Terry that I knew, like three years ago, versus the Terry that I know now is a totally different person. You've grown in your mindset. In your fitness routine, you've grown professionally. So what's the difference between now and a year and a half ago when this like really kicked off?

Unknown:

Well, as you said, I'm a completely different person than I was a year and a half ago, I completely changed. My mom likes to tell people because they'll ask, What did I do? To change so much. And she's like, she completely changed everything about herself. You know, I did coaching with you, which helped a lot. We went over some deep issues I found, you know, I was I was stuck. I was just stuck in that safe, comfortable life and afraid to change. And I just wasn't motivated.

Jaclyn Steele:

But you are now and my gosh, I watched you transform. And it is it is astounding. So let's talk. Let's talk first about your physical transformation. Like what have you done over the last year and a half? And then I want to talk about mindset. And then I want to talk about your professional changes. But first, let's talk about the fitness because you're killing it.

Unknown:

Yeah, yeah, today. Well, the first thing I started doing was eating healthier. I got the new map that you actually suggested. Or we can,

Jaclyn Steele:

yeah, let's link that in the show notes too. Because I know of several people who have had great success.

Unknown:

Yeah, yeah, that's helped me a whole lot. Because in the new map, it also teaches you like mindset stuff, and you just change your whole way of thinking about food. So I started with the eating healthy, because I have to focus on one thing at a time. So I was never good at exercise. So I didn't throw that in. I just started the eating healthy. And then actually, the exercising really started, like I tried. I don't like you have to find something that you like to do. Otherwise. It's like work. Yes. So actually, after I had my Akashic records, reading with you, something that was mentioned was to dance out your trauma. So I set myself a challenge of dancing every day for at least 10 minutes for seven days straight. And today is day. 334 days of dancing straight. I have not missed a day. Yeah. Oh,

Jaclyn Steele:

cool. And I love I have to say to Terry, I love how methodical you are. Because I am Eileen, very creative. I am generally not very methodical. So you have inspired me in that sense to be tracking things, because I think it's really useful to know like, efficient dance over 330 days in a row and I've meditated for X number of days in a row or I've eaten healthy, you know, for this long. It's really inspiring and anybody can do it. It's just a matter of discipline.

Unknown:

Huh? Exactly. And you know, I always knew I needed to get healthy. I just, you know, people tell you that it doesn't push you to do it. So I had to like come to the decision that it was time. And then I was just the right time I was motivated. And then so I did the new map, which, you know, I track my food, my calories every day. I have not missed a day. I weigh every day. Because that's what it suggests. I mean, after I've done it so long, it's like you can go down to once a week. But I still do it daily. I do it every day. Just to keep holding myself accountable. You know?

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah. that I need to start incorporating that too, right. You're just inspiring me. I'm going to start writing notes.

Unknown:

I have to do some calculations real quick. Yeah, please. Because So today, as of today, when I weighed I have lost 132 pounds.

Jaclyn Steele:

Say that again? How much? 132

Unknown:

pounds. Three. I know. I'm like half my person. Which is funny, because wildly proud of you. Thank you. I'm proud of myself.

Jaclyn Steele:

You should be you did all the hard work. Yeah.

Unknown:

Yeah, I never. I mean, I look at pictures from the past now. And I'm like, No, that is not Terry. That's old. Terry. This is new, Terry. So now I like I like taking pictures of myself. Like, oh, I've been posting pictures of myself on Instagram and Facebook. Because I never used to do that.

Jaclyn Steele:

I was fantastic. Yeah. And not that you look fantastic before but it sounds like you were before didn't feel reflective of who you were inside. Right. And now the outside is feeling reflective of the inside, which is such a good feeling. Because then you feel aligned.

Unknown:

Oh, yes. Yeah. And you illuminate it up from within to Yeah. And it really motivates you. Because people around me are like, Oh, my God, you look so good. And like it just motivates me. And then they're like, What did you do? Like I have a friend at work. Like she kept asking me, so I made her like a food guide. And I printed it off for her. And then other people wanted my food guide. So several people.

Jaclyn Steele:

I think there's another business for you to start here as a weight loss coach.

Unknown:

Yeah, but I could really do that. I probably could. But I got so much going on, right?

Jaclyn Steele:

I know you do. I know you do. Okay, so, fitness. So you got the new app, you started moving daily. Hmm. What else? Anything else in fitness that we're missing?

Unknown:

Fitness. Well, once I found the dancing thing. That was I was like, this is fun. I like wake up and I'm like, I have to dance also combines music with it. Which you know, I really, really love music.

Jaclyn Steele:

That's how we did. Yeah, that's how we connected like, what was it like five or six years ago on Instagram? It was my music.

Unknown:

Yeah. Yeah. Flight 2018. I think because that's the way it right after I actually put Instagram on my phone. So I never had like a smartphone. Yeah. I was like, I don't need those things. And then I got the new phone. And then everybody's like, Oh, go on Snapchat. One. And then I actually follow Instagram, or put Instagram on my phone to follow Broadway people. Yeah. And same with Twitter. I don't use Oh,

Jaclyn Steele:

yeah, I just haven't been able to get into Twitter. But I'm okay. So you started listening to Broadway and dancing. And you're

Unknown:

listening to Broadway?

Jaclyn Steele:

I didn't know that. Yeah. So you are dancing to music that you love doing movement that you love. Have you found other movement that you love as well?

Unknown:

Well, I did try yoga for a while. And that was cool. But then, you know, I'm obsessed with getting my steps every day. Yoga doesn't really get me steps. Yeah,

Jaclyn Steele:

that's true, though. Yeah. Well, and you have to do and I've talked about this on the podcast many times, like, find movement that resonates. I love yoga, but just because I love yoga doesn't mean that you have to love yoga. It's fine. It's Whatever, whatever it is that feels good and makes you feel good in your body. That's what you should do.

Unknown:

Yeah.

Jaclyn Steele:

So do Epson everyday then.

Unknown:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yes. Yes. I get mad if I don't get my stepson. I get mad. I get mad if, yeah. That I have to if I found the runnable lays behind my chair in my room to get the rest of my steps. I that's what I do. I have to get eases I do 10,000 a day. 10,000 steps.

Jaclyn Steele:

Wow, that's a lot. So Terry, I want to talk about mindset. Because when we first started working together, yes. You've always been a really kind, loving, encouraging human being to others. Right? But if you don't mind me saying you weren't so kind and loving and encouraging to yourself? No. So let's talk about the mindset change there and what made you go, Hey, I am worthy of taking the time to get my stepson. Hey, I am worthy of doing this dance. Hey, I am worthy of eating well.

Unknown:

Well, your podcasts helped the whole house.

Jaclyn Steele:

Oh, I'm so glad this makes me so happy. I'm just gonna bawl my eyes out when we get off the

Unknown:

interview. That's why I thought it was, you know, appropriate to be on your podcasts. For one I know you, too. I edit it. Why not? I messed up. I just edited myself. But yeah, yeah, I just needed like I listened to. I listened to basically I followed you everything you did, I would try this. I was like Jaclyn likes it. I'll try it. Right. So like, I've been reading like self help books, listening to other podcasts to, you know, watching motivational videos. I really, really like Marie Forleo. She really really loved me. Yes. And I did. Yeah, I did a couple of her courses.

Jaclyn Steele:

Well, my dad has always said, competence breeds confidence. And I love that saying, because I think sometimes people get it backward. They feel like they have to be confident before they go and do something. But the reality is, competence comes after we become competent at something, but we're never going to be competent if we don't start. So even if we don't know about eating healthfully. We download the new map and we start learning. And then it becomes second nature after a while. Maybe we don't know a lot about exercise or metabolism or whatever. But we start moving and we start seeing the weight come off. And then we realize, hey, we now know a lot more than we did a month ago or two months ago or three months ago. Yeah. And I have watched you go from Oh, no, that's not for me to now I do this every single day this transformation is enormous. So would you credit it to lots of incremental steps? Or is there like one thing that flashes in front of your head? That's like, that was the key to unlocking my new level of self worth?

Unknown:

It's a lot of little things. Does it take a lot of little things like I do a little at a time, get used to that, try something else? You know,

Jaclyn Steele:

I feel like that's so encouraging for listeners who might feel intimidated, you know, I'm thinking about a listener who's like, she just lost over 130 pounds. That seems like, I don't I don't know if I can do that. But you did it in such a way that to me, it looked like it happened super fast. But in hearing your story, you've done it very methodically, and in a way that correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't feel like you put tons and tons and tons of pressure on yourself. It was just like, hey, I'm going to add one thing this week. Yeah. Or I'm going to subtract one thing.

Unknown:

Yeah, that works best for me.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, well and I hear is me spilling my like my bad habits sometimes. I have in the past had a habit of trying to do everything at once. And then being good at it for like a couple of weeks and then the wheels fall off and then I get so discouraged and I start beating myself up. But I have found when I go incrementally like you have And I don't put so much pressure on myself. And then if I don't live up to my highest standards that day, I dust myself off and start again the next day and don't beat myself up over it. It becomes sustainable.

Unknown:

Yes, yes, exactly. Yeah. And also that time genius course that I took from Marie Forleo. Yeah, that Oh, I mean, I hope you manage my time. But also, like, I've had my phone on do not or it's just been on silent. Ever since I don't have it on. It's just gone silent. It's not on Do Not Disturb is just silent doesn't make any noise. And that's helped a lot. I mean, I still look at it, of course.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, we're addicted to our phones in this country. And any other countries. We're so addicted. Yeah. But having you run your phone instead of your phone running, you are two totally different things.

Unknown:

Yeah. Yeah. Like, if Well, I have a call every Tuesday with one of my new travel friend. But we'll talk about that.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, yes. Well, let's talk. Let no, let's talk about that. Yeah, yeah. Is there anything else you want to say about mindset? And the reason I asked this is like, if one of your friends who came up to you and said, Hey, Terry, I've seen all this transformation. It's amazing. I want to do what you're doing. What would be the mindset piece of advice that you would give them to get started?

Unknown:

Well find something that motivates you? Like I did, and then it has to be the right timing, of course. Because, you know, I've always known I needed to change, but I wasn't ready, you have to be ready. And what I did was like, work on myself first. You have to like, start loving yourself first. And then you're like, you know, you're capable of so much. And you

Jaclyn Steele:

can do it. Endless? Endless Possibilities.

Unknown:

Exactly.

Jaclyn Steele:

Gosh, this makes me so happy. So excited for you. Oh, thank you. Okay. So professionally, you have changed so much in that respect to?

Unknown:

Yeah, yeah, it started with when I started editing your podcast. And I was like, I'm good. I mean, I've always been good at like video editing and stuff. I did make movies when I was in, during the summer with my nieces and nephews. Well, just my niece and nephew. Yeah, but they used to stay with me. So, you know, we did little movies, and I would edit them. So I got good at that. And I just taught myself and then software, I can edit a podcast. So I asked you several several times, you know, took like two years. I know I'm I can do that. I mean, if I mean, I learned really fast too. So do

Jaclyn Steele:

you learn very fast. Yeah. And so fantastic job. Okay, so you took on the podcast, which was another not a full time job, but a part time job on top of your full time job.

Unknown:

I don't like that.

Jaclyn Steele:

But you're transitioning. You're creating so much change in your life that you're not going to do that one anymore.

Unknown:

Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I That one's like my side job. Now. my full time job is my side job. Even my boss says that. She's like, Yeah, but your other jobs are so cool. Ah, I mean, like, editor or producer, however you want to put it both. I like I like producer better, but

Jaclyn Steele:

you are the producer. You are you're producing.

Unknown:

Right. Yeah, that's true. And then. And then I was so so frustrated with my current job. my retail job which we will not mention the name of it. I don't want to get fired.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, no, I totally understand. You don't need to

Unknown:

know. But my retail job I work customer service so that I get to me. It got to me I was so so stressed out that like every day at lunch, I would go on indeed and look for a new job. That's what I did during my lunch hour. I would like apply for all these jobs like video editing, podcast editing, and then work from home type stuff. And then I got this email for awhile I got another notice for to be a travel agent. I don't want to be a travel agent. And then I got this other notice and it was like Here's, uh, go watch this informational video, right? So I signed up on Calendly did that. And while I was watching the video, I'm like, Yes. And I signed up right then. So I became a travel agent. So I'm a travel agent now.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yes. Well, what I love about this is your openness to Yes. You You're not closing yourself off from different opportunities.

Unknown:

Yes. Which is funny, because right before we did this podcast, I drew a card out of my life lessons bag that I do every morning. And it was openness.

Jaclyn Steele:

Oh, wow. Well, you embody that. I feel like you are so open to different opportunities and ideas and ways of doing things. And that has served you so beautifully. Yes. So now you have three jobs, you're going to let go of your retail job, I'm sure very soon.

Unknown:

And hopefully as I make money,

Jaclyn Steele:

hopefully, hopefully, you'll get more podcast editing jobs, too. I mean, I already hired you for my second podcast capital valet? Yeah, so I highly recommend her. I'm a repeat customer.

Unknown:

That's true.

Jaclyn Steele:

And we should talk about teriyaki dream media because you started your own

Unknown:

media guess? Yes, I did. I started that last year. So I actually got myself an LLC, and called it teriyaki dream media. Because teriyaki is my nickname. Yeah, I nicknamed myself teriyaki. But I mean, Dream media, and I just like dreams.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah. But you started your own company. And now you're a travel agent as well. You just keep expanding and expanding and expanding. So next question is mentally how have these changes made? You feel? Okay.

Unknown:

This one, you know, I don't like talking about my feelings. It's very hard. I mean, I'm way better now. But I was on my walk today. And my feelings are all connected to like music and songs. No, no. No, I was really my walk this morning. And I was listening to Finding Neverland the album. It's from a musical, but it's like from the album. And one of the songs is called stronger. So, so let's see, I typed out the lyrics. This is exactly how I feel. And there's another song also stronger. And then I see the light from Tangled. Also, like when I was thinking about the questions that you sent me. I was like, oh my god, this is exactly how I feel.

Jaclyn Steele:

And be perfect. Perfect. Give me five lines.

Unknown:

Okay, the stronger one says, I feel stronger, bigger. I feel taller, so much higher. Fill in whitened can't be frightened anymore. I can run so much faster now. Which is true for that exercising. And then and defeat won't be my master. conquer my demons. I won't have to wait much longer. I am stronger. So that was that perfectly.

Jaclyn Steele:

That is a play anthem for you.

Unknown:

I know. I know. And like, yeah, one of the things that's changed so much. Also, speaking of music, is I used to connect to all these late other songs. Basically about being insecure, and all that having no confidence. And now I listened to those songs. And I'm like, I do not feel that anymore. I don't feel that at all. I don't connect with them like I did. I still like the songs of course. But then, yeah.

Jaclyn Steele:

Well, and there's something about becoming an observer in your own life. When you recognize what used to resonate no longer resonates. You've totally changed the frequency that you operate on.

Unknown:

Exactly. Yes.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, I I'm just I'm so inspired and impressed by you. So for people listening in, what are three things you do every day that are non negotiables?

Unknown:

non negotiable? Well, when you when I first thought about this, all I could think was dancing, dancing, dancing, because dancing is what I have to do every day, even the one day Well, when I had COVID I was sick and I didn't feel good. And I was like, No, I have to get my dancing in. I had to dance even though I did not feel good. I danced for six minutes that day, but I still dance because I didn't want to break my street.

Jaclyn Steele:

But it's amazing.

Unknown:

But then another thing I do every day, my morning routine is pretty, you know, non negotiable dialed in. Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah. Well, your morning routine a little bit. Yeah.

Unknown:

When I wake up at eight o'clock every day. I mean, when I go to bed varies, because, well, I work till 11 every night. Yeah. So usually on nights when I work at my other job, I go to bed like one but I still wake up at eight. And then, on the days when I'm off, I usually go to bed a little earlier. Yeah, like 10. Yeah, and that, but I still wake up at eight, eight is pretty much non negotiable. I mean, sure, it varies. If I have something to do, like, Saturday, I had a dinner auction to go to, which was awesome. And so we I got up at now, I still got up at eight because we didn't have to leave as early but if I have to go somewhere earlier, I will get up earlier, you know. But it's pretty much eight o'clock every day. I you know, either take my shower or whatever. I do wash my face every morning.

Jaclyn Steele:

What do you wash your face with? I want to know,

Unknown:

I knew you're gonna ask that. But I use living libations all the time. The best skin ever. It's nice. Today I used golden secret.

Jaclyn Steele:

Heal Your skin looks beautiful.

Unknown:

Thank you. That's another big change because my face used to be like really kind of broken out a lot. But I think with the eating healthier, it's better to also the living libations helped a lot. I liked it really. And then after I do that I make my breakfast which always include my rise coffee.

Jaclyn Steele:

Love it. I drink it every day too.

Unknown:

I know. I know. That's why I heard of it. But yeah, that's, I have that every day unless I don't like if I am going to exercise or something with my mom. Sometimes we go for walks. Then I'll have a protein shake, which is in blue. She I use all your products that you talked about all the time. Well, okay,

Jaclyn Steele:

my honest opinion. What do you think about the inBloom protein?

Unknown:

That one's really good, but

Jaclyn Steele:

delicious.

Unknown:

I don't remember which one it was. I don't remember. But it tasted like grass. Because I had it the other day.

Jaclyn Steele:

One of their supplements, you know, probably is it the daily essentials?

Unknown:

I think so. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I

Jaclyn Steele:

love that one. Yeah. I was like, what if you're also not used to that? taste? It tastes very healthy. If you're not used to it, then yeah, I can I can understand their protein though. is so delicious. I Cray there.

Unknown:

Yeah. I don't have it a lot. Because, well, on my new map, the food is like in categories. Green, yellow, red, in bloom. Protein shakes kind of fall in red. Okay. Which I don't like to eat a whole lot of red. Okay. I don't know is red mean? Well, the green is like your healthy vegetables and fruits and stuff like that. Oh, okay. And then yellow is like, lean meat. Which like chicken. I don't. Yeah, I don't eat beef anymore. I don't eat red meat anymore. I gave that up. You don't have to. To lose weight. You don't have to. But I give up. Like, I just started eating different. So when I'm here, and my mom wants to make supper. She's like, she makes what I can eat. Socially. Tell me what we're having. So I can so sweet. Yeah, yeah. And then if she's making something that I don't want, I just have something else. Yeah, I'm very, very disciplined and what I

Jaclyn Steele:

Yeah, you are. Okay, so it sounds like Noom encourages you to eat all Whole Foods. And anything that is not like a fruit or a vegetable or a grain or a meat is in the red zone.

Unknown:

Red Zone is mostly like sugar stuff. Your fats, you know? Yeah, that was sugar and fat. But anyway, you're supposed to

Jaclyn Steele:

eat protein categories.

Unknown:

Yeah, but

Jaclyn Steele:

the inBloom protein doesn't have a lot of sugar. You're in it.

Unknown:

No, but I don't know. I don't really know how they decide. Yeah.

Jaclyn Steele:

It's basically lady knock on that stuff.

Unknown:

Yeah, no, that's why I don't use it a whole lot. Yeah. But I do love it. Yeah. Like all your protein bars and stuff, are they?

Jaclyn Steele:

Well, and you know what normally, like protein shakes have a lot of sugar and protein bars have a lot of additives and stuff like that. Yeah, but I will say the inBloom protein is super clean. Yes, super clean. So maybe noon just needs to reset their their biking. So

Unknown:

I think they're wrong. Well, sometimes, if you scan the barcodes on them, it comes up as like, one color. And then if you type it in, when you're logging your food, it shows up a different color. So I pick it to where it does the best for me. Yeah,

Jaclyn Steele:

well, and it makes sense to like, yeah, you want to eat as many whole foods as possible and not rely on anything that you know, has a long shelf life. Yes. Yeah, that makes total sense. Okay, so your three things your we got a little off trowel. Your morning? That No, no, it's not your fault. You dance every day. You do your morning routine every day. What else? What's your third minute

Unknown:

morning routine? Also includes my weighing every day are non negotiable? Um, I don't know.

Jaclyn Steele:

Okay, no, that's great. Those are? Those are very useful. Useful tidbits. Yeah. Last question for you is, what's your best advice for someone who is feeling stuck right now? And nervous about changing? Like, let's go back to you a year and a half ago, when we had our first coaching call. What would you say to that version of Terry? Find the Jacqueline. Oh. That's so sweet.

Unknown:

yourself. Uh, Jaclyn?

Jaclyn Steele:

Well, I'm so honored by that. And I'm so I'm so glad that I've gotten to like link arms with you on this journey. You did all the hard work. For somebody out there who's feeling so discouraged, find somebody who can maybe coach you through and encourage you. But what is that like inner part of you that refuses to give up? What does that person say?

Unknown:

You have to find something that motivates you. Or, well, I kind of got like, really low, like a really low point where I just was not happy. I did not like myself. I was not happy. I was stuck. And I was like, I have to do something. So I I read a lot of books. Listen to a lot of podcast. Followed people that inspired me. You know? So just, you can do it. Don't be scared. You can do it. In fact, I have I here I'll read my calendar thing that I posted on my wall. Yeah, you. You are a valuable and irreplaceable asset to the universe. You are mighty beyond comprehension. You are a badass. It's from you are a badass, my calendar. I love it. I also love that book, too. I

Jaclyn Steele:

know it's so good. I love Jen Sincero. Yes. So yes. And it's true. And to have those reminders around you every single day, you can do it. And I think some people think, Well, lots of people have those reminders, and they don't do it. Because they're not believing in themselves. Yeah. And you believe in yourself. And you have seen a wild transformation.

Unknown:

Yes, I'm wearing my shirt. And we think it dream it believe it. Oh, no, it says think it wants it Dream It.

Jaclyn Steele:

Close enough. That's awesome.

Unknown:

Terry. That's my advice. Yeah.

Jaclyn Steele:

And it's possible if it's possible for you. If it's possible. For me, it's possible for anyone. So thank you so much for your time today. Thank you for vulnerable and sharing your story and inspiring people. And thank you for being the most wonderful Podcast Producer.

Unknown:

Oh, thank you. You're welcome.

Jaclyn Steele:

Welcome, okay. Yes. Yay. All right. Well, thank you, Terry. I can't wait for people to hear this.

Unknown:

Me there.

Jaclyn Steele:

Anything to add?

Unknown:

No, thank you for letting me work on your podcast and thank you for having me on this podcast.

Jaclyn Steele:

Oh, it's my honor. I'm so glad you reached out to ask.

Unknown:

Yeah, I just wanted to share my story and encourage people that They can do it

Jaclyn Steele:

and you're going to do that and now if people ask you you can have a reference point and send them to this episode and what I want you to do in the show notes is to put all of your links for all of your businesses and your social media just like you would any guest
