Maybe you are finding yourself in a tough spot right now, maybe you are heading there, maybe you've already been there but you need a little tune up.  Today's message is for you, my friends.  I've talked so much about mindset in this podcast and I'm so happy I have because it's a huge factor in our growth and trajectory, but sometimes in the striving to move forward, we leave our bodies behind.  If you've done this, you're not alone.  I've done it, too.  Also, if you don't feel like you are at this point, awesome.  I'm so happy for you... but maybe you find yourself feeling disconnected.  It's easy in this world to live out of our heads and to feel disconnected from our physical selves.  So today, we are chatting 4 things we can get intentional about to get back in our bodies and connected to our lives.

Jaclyn Steele:

Hello friends, I am so happy that you're here I'm

Unknown:

actually a little bit out of breath. And I'm cracking up on myself because I just did. Ah,

Jaclyn Steele:

I did a dance in my office to the song of the month by Maggie Rogers called back in my body. And it just felt so good to move the energy in my body. And the theme of the month, this month in March is back in my body, and this song just hits me, I find myself finding this song. And going back to it, anytime I feel there's a disconnect between my soul and my physical self. And it just helps to remind me like I can get back into my body whenever I want. It's so easy to get hyper focused, and drive ourselves to the point of exhaustion, all while ignoring our beautiful body signals, and needs for nourishment. Maybe you are finding yourself in this tough spot right now. I've been experiencing it. Maybe you are heading there like heading for burnout. Maybe you've already been there, and you're doing better, but you need a little tune up. Today's message is for you, my beautiful listeners. I've talked so much about mindset in this podcast. And I'm happy that I have because it's a huge factor in our growth in our trajectory. But sometimes in the striving to move forward, we leave our bodies behind. So welcome. Welcome to today's episode 150 you're priming your mind, but are you also priming this, I want to touch on all of this. So that by the end of the month, you are feeling so deeply connected, and rooted in your mind, space, your heart space, and your body everywhere. In order to truly be well. We must be connected and aligned. If we want to live at the highest frequency, our soul, our spirit, our mind, our heart space our bodies, they have to be operating on the same level, you know, we can't have one and then leave the others behind. And I'm going to do some things that I haven't done on this podcast yet. And I'm feeling very co creation II with God. And I'm feeling the pull to share some scripture with you that recently has been inspirational and comforting to me. And that scripture comes from First Corinthians chapter three. And it's verse 16. Before I read this, I do want to just add this, no matter your relationship with the church. And I get it because I've had a complicated relationship with the church. I grew up in a very conservative Christian home, and really toed the line for my life until I was about 26. And then never lost faith, but lost faith in the church. So I get it if you feel that way. But if you can, just for a minute, very bravely separate the church, which is led by humans who are imperfect and there's also grace for that. But separating the humans that run the church with the beauty of God's message, because God's message is so beautiful. So here's First Corinthians chapter three, verse 16. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit lives in you? This brings tears to my eyes as I read it. I'm just gonna read it once more, since it's so short. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit lives in you. I love this scripture for several reasons. Number one, I love the idea of my body being a temple. I'm so hard on myself sometimes. But my body was created in the image of God and it's a place of worship for the Most High. It's also something I want to clean and sanctify and take care of because it's where the Spirit of God dwells. It's where our eternal All souls are currently living. And the idea that I carry God with me every day is so comforting. I'm not alone. You are not alone. We are extensions of the Most High. We have support 24/7 I went to a women's group last night. And it is so powerful. There were, I don't know, maybe 20 women there last night, maybe 25. And it's a group like based invulnerability. And so I'm not going to share any specific stories, because that would be a breaching of the confidence of what people shared. But I will say this, we sat in a circle us 25 women, and we each shared our deepest, deepest insecurity. And what struck me so deeply about this was every single woman is struggling with something so deep, that it shakes the very foundation of our souls, just shakes us. And insidiously can take over our lives if we are not aware of it, and speak it out and get it out. And so many of us, myself included, struggle with body image issues, and body dysmorphia, and being insecure in our own skin because we feel like we have to look a certain way. Put this first. This first in first Corinthians Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit lives in you. God's Spirit lives in you, you are so beautiful, just the way you are, no matter what you feel like your body looks like no matter what worthiness level you feel like your physical self is, you are so loved, so loved to the point that your body is at Temple, and God's Spirit lives in you. I don't know about you. But when I'm feeling disconnected from my body, I'm also feeling disconnected from life around me, and from my soul, and from the source of life that has given me life, which is God. And if you want to say the universe, or spirit or whatever title you want to put on it, it doesn't matter. It's all the creator of all creation, including us. On the flip side, when I'm feeling grounded, and in my body, I feel deeply connected to God into my soul into my life. It's like there's a direct portal of communication between all of us, my body, God, my life feels so flowy and it allows for the juiciest state, which is the flow state. I want to live in this space every day, every second because it feels good. It feels so good. But in today's world, it's really hard to get to this space and stay in it. Right and require several things that I touched on last week when I asked you some really important questions. I asked you about your routine, how you are nourishing yourself, your body, how you are distressing daily. And what kind of intention you greet the day with. These are really important mile markers when it comes to getting back into our bodies. It's a physical, mental and spiritual coming together that creates this feeling of harmony. So I didn't know that I would ever do this again. But I am feeling so deeply led and it was confirmed and my meditation this morning that I meant to do this and that is to open up some hours each week for personal one on one coaching. And coaching really isn't the right word for it. It's energy healing. That was also confirmed in my meditation this morning. energy healing frequency healing, a combination of Akashic record access, past life access, current life access, and creating space for you to heal yourself and increase the frequency at which you operate daily. This will have a ripple effect on every area of your life, every single area because when we fix our energy, we're fixing our self worth. And we know that when we fix our self worth and heal it, we operate in a totally different way. So if you're interested in doing this, I will have a link in the show notes, it will be a Calendly link, I'm going to be totally transparent, I'm going to charge$150 an hour. This is so that you take this work seriously because it is serious work. And when I have given it away for free in the past, people don't take it seriously. So it's going to be $150 an hour. And if you choose to buy 10 hours, I'll give you a $50 discount. All of that will be in the Calendly link. But if you feel led to work with me one on one, I want to open that up, I'm going to do a few hours a week. So it'll be a little bit limited. But if you're feeling that Pang that urge, like you need to do some energy work, then I want you to reach out to me. Also, if during this ad, in my podcast, you're feeling like a well of fear, or a surge of energy that's like, oh, I don't know if I want to do that. I don't want to I don't know if I want to do that this is for you. So reach out to me if you have questions, email me at hello at Jaclyn steele.com. But otherwise, there'll be a Calendly link in the show notes that you can click on. And if you have any questions just reach out. If we are meant to work together, I know that the path will be paved, and it'll be easy and flowy and beautiful, and the most amazing things will happen. So I look forward to hearing from you and I look forward to working with you. So first, let's talk routine. If you don't have a routine, then you have a non routine. So choose wisely. Okay. And I've been in both places, so zero judgment, but your routine can set you up to seriously experience the fullness of life. When you feel good. Everything is better. When I stick to my routine, I feel unstoppable, truly unstoppable. Go listen to all the episodes in February, I wrote those episodes when I was deep in my routine. When I am away from my routine for too long. I feel like a train going off the tracks just not good. And for reference, because I like giving reference. My routine is something like this. And y'all again, I shoot to do this every day. But there are days when I don't. And this morning was one of them. I didn't get home until late last night. And then we had phone calls with our parents and we weren't in bed until like 11, which is way late for me. So I didn't wake up at 545. But anyway, this is the routine that I love and that I like to stick to it works really well for me. And for my family at this point in our lives. I wake up between 545 and 630, sometimes 530 Depending on when I went to bed the night before, because I like to get eight hours of sleep. That is when I am just rested and ready to take on the day. So I wake up between 535 45 and 630. And then I read and I meditate and I journal and I move my body, then I work during the day. And then I transition out of work by making dinner with my husband and my son around 430. I don't sound so early. But we eat early because we start getting ready for bed around 630 and seven, so that we have some time to really relax before going to bed around nine or 930. This isn't perfect. And I certainly cannot do this 365 days a year because life and you know stuff happens people get sick schedules get messed up, it is what it is. But when I have this routine more days than not, I feel amazing. And I'm happier and I'm so much more productive and it feels so good to be productive. And so then I have more momentum going into the next day. Routines create freedom. Discipline creates freedom, not the other way around. When I left corporate life and started working for myself, I was like, Oh my gosh, I don't have to be disciplined anymore. I've got so much freedom and then again, train went off the tracks. Discipline creates freedom routine creates freedom. We get it twisted. Sometimes we think our routine will thwart our creativity or our freedom but the opposite is true. Routines create space for creativity, and freedom. Okay? So try and stick to a routine. It'll change your life. And don't be hard on yourself. If you get off at one day, just hop back on the next. Now I want to talk about nourishment. Y'all know what clean eating looks like. It's eating close to nature. It's eliminating or reducing processed junk that makes you feel sick. It's drinking plenty of water and not eating a bunch of refined sugar. I don't need to tell you this because you already know. But I do want to go deeper with nourishment. I love the word nourishment. Just say it with me right now. nourishment. We're not just feeding ourselves friends, we are nourishing ourselves. The first thing that happens when we are eating like this and nourishing ourselves is that there's a portal that opens up when we eat well, it is a spiritual portal, I swear, it sets off a domino effect, we start feeling better, we start thinking more clearly and creatively. And we feel more connected to the planet and life around us. And that portal, opens up another portal, in my experience, it's the portal to the divine. And this may sound crazy to you if you haven't experienced it before. But if you have experienced it, then welcome back. I'm gonna say it anyway, I have more conversations with God, on I'm taking really lovely nourishing care of myself. And I think so much of that has to do with clearing the junk out of the vessel. So I can get a clear signal so to speak. Everything in my life feels like it vibrates at a higher frequency. When I am eating well. And nourishing my body. This doesn't mean I don't indulge. Okay, I do. But for the most part, I eat clean. In addition, I want to talk about nourishing your soul. What does your soul need mine over the last couple of weeks who it is needed some rest. I need to pace myself. I'm like a racehorse, I run, run, run until I'm out of everything. And then I feel like I need to take a month off because I'm so tired. I need to learn to pace myself. Because it's not sustainable what I've been doing, and you're part of it's just life. But knowing what nourishes us and being able to come back to it because we know it. This is vital. For me this nourishment, it's movement and exercise its time in nature, and time having great conversations with friends. It's a great soul stimulating book, it's time with my husband who he fills me up y'all. He is the best sounding board I've ever experienced in my life. And I also love spending time with my son doing absolutely nothing. Maybe rolling the ball on the floor, back and forth and playing. I need space to breathe and be without a bunch of stuff vying for my attention. Whether that be people or social media, emails, or phone calls or whatever, I need time away from my cell phone. Man, our cell phones in so many ways are such gifts, we can get so much done on them. But they're also a curse, and that if we don't control our cell phones, our cell phones control us. I'm just needed a break and time to take a break for myself for no other reason that I need a break. And I know so many of you can relate to this because we are hard workers. And I'm allowed to do that. You're allowed to do that we're allowed to take breaks. In fact, I'm stopping an hour earlier today than I usually do. So I can go watch a show and just turn off before my nanny leaves and I make dinner and then start taking care of my family's needs. I need a little me time. It's the little things that add up y'all. Vacations are great. But what are we doing in between to refill the tank daily? We need daily filling, not yearly filling. We have to make nourishment a priority friends. We deserve it. Being human is really hard. It's really hard. It's dense. We need nourishment. What are you doing to nourish your body and your soul this episode is supported by rise superfood mushroom coffee. This goes hand in hand with nourishment. What are you doing that brings you joy. I love just sitting outside on my patio, we just redid it. It's so beautiful and like, it's a Moroccan vibe out there. It's very cozy and relaxing. And I love just sitting out there in the sunlight. And reading for a few minutes. Ah nature being outside and getting some fresh air. It's so nourishing, such a way to de stress. As I mentioned earlier, I also enjoy cooking a healthy meal for my family when I'm not in a rush. I don't like rushing and I've lived so much of my life in the rushing state. Making a healthy meal without any kind of deadline makes me feel grounded and connected. Just chopping vegetables, sorting, putting things in the oven, this smells, the tastes, the act of creation. Even taking a few breaths right here. And right now, as an acknowledgment that we are here and that we honor our body's need for oxygen was the biggest, most beautiful breath ever. What do you need to de stress today? This isn't a luxury. It's a necessity. It's something that has to be built into our lives. Because we become better not only for ourselves, but also for others. When we are full, when we are full up. I don't know about you. But I'm going to fill my cup so full of things that light me up that spills over. We all have the power to do this. What relieves your stress? What fills you up? Do it. You don't need permission, you don't need to earn it. You just need to do it. You being human is reason enough. So routine nourishment, de stressing and filling ourselves with things that light us up. These are ways to get back into our bodies, friends, they feel delicious, and responsible and very adult like and now I want to talk on intention. I created a theme of the month, every month in this podcast. Because I want this content to be really intentional, because I wanted to uplift you and actually help you in your life and in your life path. I want to dive deep on these subjects because they have changed my life and the way that I think and we dive deep by being intentional. That's also why I created the PDF for you and my newsletter. So you can print it out and be intentional with it. We won't create change in our lives if we aren't intentional. So if you are feeling like me and you have felt disconnected recently from your body, then what is your intention? What can you hold and carry with you every day to remind you of the glory of coming back into your body? How can you make this practice sacred? My intention is, I honor, celebrate and nourish my body. I honor, celebrate and nourish my body. I want to hold that with me when I wake up and drink water. I want to hold that in my heart when I eat. I want to hold it in my arms when I'm holding my son. I want to say it before I lay my head down to sleep to signal to my body that I love it enough to rest it. There's something so sacred, so sacred, about holding intention. It reminds me that life is about so very much more than what we see. Life itself is so sacred. Our souls are so sacred. Our bodies are so sacred because they are the temple of our souls and of the Spirit of God. It's all connected. But it's easy to lose track of that. If we are without intention. If we don't keep this sacred intention close to us and near us, where we can hear it or see it or feel it. And I want to say a side note, when we are intentional. And for instance, when we are intentional about honoring and celebrating and nourishing our bodies, and we have that in the forefront of our mind. Sometimes what happens, and this is beautiful, but it's hard. But our body image issues come to the surface, our insecurities about how we look physically come to the surface. And they're coming to the surface because they want to be healed. Because they need to be honored, and taken care of, and acknowledged and loved into a state of balance, and healing. So if this month as you carry your intention, whether it's the one I wrote, I honor, celebrate nourish my body or whatever iteration you have for yourself. If these insecurities do come to the forefront, just know that that's totally normal. I'm experiencing it, too. I talked about it with the women last night at my women's group, you're not alone. They're being called to the surface to heal. I want to wrap up with a question for you daily for the rest of this month. How can you honor, celebrate and nourish your beautiful body, your beautiful, beautiful body that houses your sacred soul in the Spirit of God. I encourage you to hold this close as you go on with your day. Thank you so much for listening.
