Welcome, welcome, welcome to The Freq Show. Today is a solo episode, it's just me, Jaclyn Steele Thurmond here, so excited and ready to connect with you today, we're diving into one of the most powerful life-shifting topics of all time, and that is belief if you've been listening to The Freq show then you know that this is a common theme through everything that we do because the truth is, your life is a mirror of what you believe is possible so let's shift what you believe is possible and change your entire life right and if your beliefs are small limited or outdated chances are your results are too. Now, before you go judging yourself, don't because I've been there we all have but the beautiful news is you can rewire your mind recalibrate your thoughts and radically change your life, let's talk about how and I'm gonna do this in about five segments okay, I want, throughout this podcast episode for you to return to this thought okay and I'll repeat it a couple of times your life is a reflection of what you believe is possible so let's change your blueprint the title of this episode is The Belief Blueprint How to Rewire Your Mind for Wild Success which Sam and I have gone through this process we're not where we wanna be yet there's room for so much growth but we have come so far, my friends again your life is a reflection of what you believe is possible so let's change that blueprint.

Alright! Segment No. 1, your belief system is running the show whether you realize it or not the subconscious mind is so powerful and beliefs are the filters through which we experience the world I think one of the easiest ways to think about this is do you generally believe negative thoughts do you generally believe positive thoughts these are filters and they determine how you experience your everyday life most of our beliefs are subconscious or inherited and if you keep hitting the same walls over and over in relationships business money or health, chances are there's a faulty belief running quietly in the background it's like a little virus in your computer that is just causing your system not to run smoothly right so I wanna share with you now one of my own faulty systems and I believe it was a very limiting belief it's one that I hired a coach for about five years ago it's one that I've read multiple books on now it's one that I've journaled about it is one that I have worked so hard to shift my frequency around to shift my thoughts around and that is my beliefs around money.

I grew up in a fairly affluent household I grew up in Iowa but my father was a successful lawyer and we had a very comfortable middle-class life and then in high school, my parents got divorced and my mom and my brother and I moved out of my childhood home and financially, things took a really big turn for us my mom got a job she worked really hard but our financial situation was not what it was and that experience placed me on a trajectory of scarcity it also placed me on a trajectory of dependence and what I mean by that is and I do not fault my mom for this all right, she went from being an affluent woman to being a single mom which is a pretty giant shift but the mindset was scarcity it was. How are we gonna do this where's the money gonna come from are we gonna be okay, and I adopted that it was not an empowering belief in any way again I don't fault my mom for it it was just the reality at the time she did the best with the tools that she had but I carried this into my 30s all right

So, from my mid-teens to my 30s, I had this belief system of such intense scarcity, where's the money gonna come from when we have it, it's either gonna go right out the window or we just have to hold on for dear life holding it holding it holding it the other belief that I feel like was very subconscious until more recently in my life was this belief around money and dependence that and I know this is outdated but this is this was my reality that I had to have a man in order to have a good stable income, and I'm almost embarrassed to say that but that was the subconscious belief that I had to uncover it was so so so deep, I didn't believe in myself a few years ago enough to think that I could go out on my own and make the kind of money that I wanted to make without the support of my husband I have turned that around but that was my reality and it was very very prevalent and very very heavy.

So throughout my young adulthood, I carried these beliefs in everything that I did, you know I was in the music industry for almost 10 years and I would make a little bit of money it would go to my student loans it would maybe help our bills just a little bit but I was scraping by constantly I had such a scarcity mindset and then also I felt like how am I going to be able to pursue all of these things and do all of these things without a husband who is that financial rock which put so much pressure on Sam unnecessarily and unfairly which is a totally separate podcast episode but that is the truth it was really hard and it was really hard to uncover these beliefs and transform them or alchemize them so to speak.

Another belief that I had was if I and this was a super subconscious belief that I had to uncover but it was if I become successful will I isolate myself from family members or friends that I care about because as many of you know as you expand as you grow as you become more successful it also shows the other people around you that they have the same capabilities we're all human we can all do the same things we all have all of this incredible potential within us right but when one of us starts to change either the people shift around us or we shift beyond them okay so I had this belief that if I am successful am I going to isolate myself from the people that I love from my current support system that was another really really hard one for me to unravel and move beyond I have moved beyond it now but I will say that that's a challenge.

I want to go now into segment No. 2, and I'll return to these beliefs and how I undid them okay but I wanna go now to segment 2 where we're gonna talk about signs your beliefs are working against you so this is where you check yourself this is where you get real honest your beliefs may be working against you if you self-sabotage when things are going well that can look a myriad of different ways it might look like you're you know throwing a stick of dynamite onto a situation or it might look like procrastination maybe it's something a little bit more subtle where you sleep in, or you're showing up late or just little things those are all mechanisms of self sabotage maybe you talk yourself out of big dreams because you feel they are too good to be true if you're watching this on video you can see I just did air quotes that happens sometimes, I mean, I love my father so much but he used to say to me if it seems too good to be true it is I will say now that I have worked so hard on living on the frequency of belief when things feel too good to be true often that's the frequency that you need to be living on.

Another sign that your beliefs are working against you you're constantly seeking outside validation you don't need outside validation my friend that validation needs to come from within and if you feel like you're not able to give that validation to yourself take baby steps start with an affirmation then do some kind of action toward the dream that you desire then take some more action and before you know it your competence will breed confidence it's another thing my dad used to say competence breeds confidence you're not going to be amazing at something right away give yourself some Grace, that's okay but baby steps as you get better and better and better and more competent you're going to become more confident and then as you become more confident it'll be easier and easier for you to validate yourself, right?

Another sign that your belief is working against you or your beliefs are working against you is that you overwork and still feel unworthy oh my gosh, have I struggled with this one of the reasons I started the Self-Worth podcast was because I was working all the time and still feeling unworthy it was like nothing I did was ever enough and I was the gauge on that I was the one telling myself I wasn't enough it wasn't the people around me alright last thing about or last sign that your beliefs are working against you is you want more but feel guilty for desiring it.

Friends, we live in a world of abundance I know mass media will tell you otherwise
there are many people that will tell you otherwise but it's not true I'm looking out my front window right now and I see this grapefruit tree that is constantly creating grapefruit whether or not it's 117 degrees outside and totally dry or it's perfect sunny rain-filled weather this tree is doing its thing it's creating abundance, it's creating fruit we create fruit based on our mindset based on our belief system.

Always go back to the belief system if you feel like things are not going well, ask yourself what is it that I'm believing about myself, what is it that I'm believing about this person, what is it that I'm believing about the world, and bring it back to a more abundant thought because we live in a world of abundance.

I was listening to a talk by Louise Hay this morning and they were I I think it's yes it was an audiobook called 101 Power Thoughts and she talks about how even if all the wealth in the world were distributed among people evenly within a month the poor would still be poor and the rich would be getting richer because it all comes back to mindset it all comes back to thought it all comes back to worthiness do you feel worthy of wealth do you feel worthy of your dreams do you feel worthy of the life or family you desire if you don't then you need to work on a belief system that will encourage those dreams to come true rather than perpetuate those dreams not coming true alright segment No. 3 how to start rewiring your belief system.

Step No. 1 within this segment is identify the limiting belief sometimes this is very obvious some like me with the scarcity mindset around money sometimes it's not so obvious like me with that mindset that I am going to isolate myself from people I love if I become successful but ask yourself what do I believe about this area in my life and it really helps if you write it down and get it out it's also a cathartic process and there's something about bringing it from your mind out onto the page that also starts the shedding process right so understanding the root of your belief can help you uproot it.

My beliefs around money started in high school when my parents got divorced and our financial situation became radically different that is the root of where things started I also trace things back to my religious upbringing which in so many ways I am grateful for, but in you know, religious communities they often talk about how money is the root of all evil what I have come to find out is money is not the root of all evil money has to do with the person who is spending it and interacting with it, money is not good or evil money is what we make of it and I wanna do great things with my money I also wanna live an abundant life I want the car, I want I want the house, I want and there's nothing wrong with that nothing we can do so much good in the world when we have resources, it's hard to do massive good in the world without resources right okay so ask yourself where what do I believe about this area of my life write it down, get honest, get curious about it don't judge it, and then I skipped ahead a little bit I apologize.

Step 2 of this segment is tracing the origin like I already talked about where did this belief come from a parent society, a traumatic event you experienced again going back to my own experience it was my parents’ divorce that was a very traumatic experience in my teenage world right and it shifted our money situation so radically again, understanding the root of your belief will help you uproot it alright step 3 this is the opportunity I want you to challenge that belief and I want you to replace it ask yourself after looking at that negative nasty belief, ask yourself what would a more empowering belief sound like say it out loud write it down repeat it like a mantra anchor it into your body with breath or movement.

I just bought a bunch of note cards that I'm pointing to on the screen I am going to write my money belief and put it in my wallet, I'm gonna use it as a bookmark I'm gonna put it in my kitchen I'm gonna put it in my car so that I can see it and embody it multiple times a day I also write my money belief every morning 10 times.

By doing this and reinforcing your new belief, and look you can start with multiple beliefs at once if you want I'm the kind of person who wants to like tackle one thing at a time and get really good at it I'm not always good at doing that but that's that that's my intention I suggest you start with one and unwind it get rid of it and replace it with a much more empowering life affirming thought I saw a video from Brooke Shields a few years ago and she said, anytime I have a negative thought I think about a computer and I think delete delete delete, and then write the new thought.

We are capable, and you can look into neuroplasticity and how the brain works but we are capable of rewiring our brains we're capable of changing the blueprint of our entire belief system that's such a powerful ability and each one of us possesses that ability so why not use it to our advantage why not use belief in a way that is life-affirming that is going to get us where we want to go that is going to help us reach the potential that each of us has within us.

Alright, Step 4 within segment 3 is embodying this new belief take action on it even tiny steps count and celebrate when you do reinforce the shift with joy so I remember when I first went from just scraping by to making money and I, in some ways, went from like 0 slash you know, a few thousand dollars to six figures very quickly by shifting my beliefs now it didn't happen overnight like some of you want, and like all of us want really but it happened within a short period of time I would say about a year.

Okay, when I started to shift my beliefs and go no I am worthy of success no I can do this yes I am excited about taking on this challenge maybe this will be hard to shift my mindset but I can do it I will say this it was harder to shift my mindset around money than it was to actually do the work to create the money the mind is that powerful we are our worst enemy or we are our best friend and it's up to you to decide which side you want to take.

So again, take action from this new belief that you want in your life that you are calling in act as if it's already come true let's say your goal is to manifest and again, I'm just going with money on this because this is an area that I've struggled with so much, but let's say your goal is to make $10,000 you're gonna write every day 10 times I am going to make $10,000 within this time period I am going to make $10,000 within this time period or even better, I create $10,000 within this time period and put a date on it start acting as you go out into the world as if you've made that 10k or that hundred K or that million dollars whatever it is start acting like that person who's already done it what does he or she talk like how does he or she think How does he or she dress start embodying that before it happens.

I'm telling you this works it may sound insane, but it works it works, it works it works and body this belief become this belief let it sink into your very cellular DNA alright segment 4 inside the how to rewire your belief system it's the frequency of belief the frequency of belief is why Sam and I started The Freq Show podcast Freq stands for frequency and the frequency of belief is at the core of everything we do here because it's so powerful and we've experienced its power over and over and over again and if you haven't, if you're new here the frequency of belief is decide what you want act on it and believe relentlessly that it's already yours this goes back to embodying the new belief decide what you want act on it and believe relentlessly that it is yours this is not about delusion my friends, this is about devotion this is about the power to craft the life that you desire because you are capable of crafting the life that you desire.

I'll insert a little personal story here about how a new belief LED to unexpected miraculous outcomes this is a more recent one it was in November, and I got this unexpected if you're watching on video I'm doing air quotes again this unexpected opportunity to design a home forget this an NFL player and I don't mean forget this like forget it, I mean like for dot dot dot get this an NFL player who won the Super Bowl by the way and his wife loved my design at Villa Sacreta they put an offer on the house but they put an offer on the house right before another offer came in that we had accepted and so they didn't get the house but things work out the way that they're supposed to and they reached out to me and said Hey! We want to buy our fixer-upper but only if you are willing to design it because we loved what you did at Velasacra and when I got this opportunity initially I was like wow this is so cool, I'm so honored but also I generally just design for art projects at Beckin for my husband and I but maybe this could be really cool maybe this could be an amazing opportunity.

And I went into it with curiosity I went into it with excitement and as I was writing the proposal and going over all of the work that this very large home would entail to transform because we transform the entire thing I was like, I really need to advocate for myself for an amount of money that coincides with the woman that I have become not who I was five years ago asking for pennies on the dollar and working all the time, stretching myself so thin but I need to ask for an amount that feels a little bit uncomfortable for me but that I know that I'm worth based off of all of this amazing work that I've done and you can brag on yourself a little bit look I always have room to improve I always have room for growth but at the same time I've come a long way I've worked really hard to get where I am.

And I asked my husband, I was like here's my proposal, what do you think he was like Ask for more money it made me a little nervous but at the same time there was something within me that was like I've been living on the frequency of belief and if they don't want to pay me this that's okay we can shift they don't have to hire me it is what it is or maybe they will and then this amazing thing will happen and what happened was I sent them the proposal with this proposed amount that was more than I was initially comfortable asking for but that I knew in my heart I was worth and they didn't bat an eyelash they texted me back within a couple of minutes saying that sounds great let's go and in that moment it just reinforced again how incredible the frequency of belief is how much it actually works when we know what we want we act on it and we believe relentlessly that it is ours alright let's wrap this up, cause I'm a little long-winded but segment 5 is your belief practice this is where you reinforce you know you've been embodying the belief you are tuning into the frequency of belief this is your practice journaling prompts.

Write these down because there's nothing that reinforces more than writing down, at least for me, what do I believe about money, love, success, where did that belief came from, what belief would I rather hold.

Meditate on these things, think about them write them on your note cards place them in places that you'll see regularly and then I would also encourage you to download The Freq App which is now live, it's on the iTunes store it's on the Android app store this app was made from the heart there still may be a few kinks as we are figuring out all of the tech within it it's very complicated to create an app, by the way but these calibrations are meant to help you tune your energy and heal your thoughts heal your mind through healing your thoughts they are incredible messages that Sam and I wrote or Sam or I wrote that we combined with specific frequencies to tune your mind and tune your body and tune your energy it's extremely powerful.

If you haven't tried it I would highly suggest that you do it's called The Freq App and then lastly here surround yourself with people who believe bigger you are who you hang with it's been said forever and it's absolutely true if you're hanging out with a lot of small-minded people you might want to think about shifting that and hanging out with people who believe that they're worthy people who are successful people who believe in growth and challenging ourselves makes a huge huge difference alright I'm gonna close this up belief isn't just a mindset it's a frequency and one that you can train yourself into so let this be your invitation to rise my friend to believe bigger to choose thoughts that are in alignment with your soul because when you shift your beliefs you don't just change your mind you change your reality.
